Charles Lloyd Ostervold III, “Chip”, 53, of Longview, died on September 11, 2017 at home. He was born in Longview on December 25, 1963 to Lloyd and Jacquelyn (Greenough) Ostervold. Chip grew up in Cathlamet where he graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1982. He worked as a logger for a few years and commercial fished in Alaska with his Uncle John in the summers before he began his long career at Georgia Pacific, Wauna Mill in 1987. He loved hunting and fishing and time at the family cabin in Montana.
Chip is survived by a daughter Kaylee Ostervold, his mother Jacquelyn Ostervold, four sisters Mary Ann Hansen, Val Shepler, Katie Stephens and Margaret Ostervold, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and an extended family of people he cared for.
A funeral service has been held. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
