The Bank of the Pacific in Naselle was robbed on Monday by a woman who fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The woman entered the bank at approximately 3:50 p.m. and handed a note to a teller while trying to distract the other bank employees. She then climbed over the counter and assaulted two tellers in an effort to reach the cash drawers.
She is believed to be between 30-35 years old and described as approximately 5'8" and 220 pounds, with dark hair. She was wearing a blue shirt, black sweater, and baggy pants.
The Pacific County Sheriff's Office is being assisted by the Wahkiakum County Sheriff's Office, the Washington State Patrol, and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
The bank is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject. Contact the PCSO at 360-875-9397 or 911 if you have any information.
Tips are coming in and indicate that the subject is familiar and may have been seen in Pacific County and on the Long Beach peninsula.
The sheriff's office has advised people not to contact or approach the subject.
