Ray Elton (Teed) Prestegard died May 18, 2017 at the hospice center in Longview. He was born April 14, 1935 on Puget Island to Archie and Ethel (Nepsund) Prestegard, with his twin brother Roy.
He lived on Puget Island and in Cathlamet and attended Wahkiakum High School.
Teed was in the United States Air Force for 21 years, from 1954 to 1975. After retiring from the Air Force he moved back to Cathlamet.
In 1967 he married JoAnn Irving. September 16 would have been their 50th anniversary.
Teed was known throughout the area for his Prestegard Fix-it Shop.
Survivors include his wife, Reverend JoAnn Prestegard; son Ray Prestegard; daughters Libby Yuskaitis and Lori Mogush; son Lane Mogush; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Leslie, Corky (Roy), a son Keith and granddaughter Jennifer.
A celebration of his life was held June 10. Donations are suggested to the hospice center in Longview or to St. James Family Center. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
