Knitters are invited to join World Wide Knit in Public Day this Friday at the Puget Island Farmers Market, 59 W. Birnie Slough Road, from 3-6 p.m.
"Bring a chair and your knitting," said local knitter Mary Ann Nelson. "WWKIP was started in 2005 as a way for knitters to come together. It is the largest knitter run event in the world with events occurring in America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In 2016 there were 1015 events in 57 countries."
