Gordon Souvenir

Gordon K. Souvenir 90, of Bay Center, died June 4, 2017, at Longview Hospice.

He was born to Joseph and Julian (Longtain) Souvenir on March 9, 1927 on the family farm in Cathlamet.

He spent two years in the Army stationed in Trinidad. He worked as a logger and commercial fisherman on the Willapa and the Columbia River.

Gordon is survived by his wife Arlene, at home. He leaves behind four sons, Gordie (Marsha) Souvenir, Steve (Sue) Souvenir, Robin (Jamie) Souvenir and Tom (Lorraine) Roots; five daughters, Cynthia (Clark) Kapron, Janet (Rick) Bryan, Leota Souvenir, Karen Souvenir and Jayne (Greg) Wohlsein. He has 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a son John Roots, three brothers and three sisters.

There will be no service at his request. Donations may be made in Gordon's name to Longview Hospice Care Center, PO Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
