Coming Events Community Center in Cathlamet

We are excited to announce the return of Free Computer Classes here at the Community Center in Cathlamet! Goodwill, partnering with WorkSource, will be here Wednesday, June 7th from 10:00-12:00, offering basic computer instruction to our community. WorkSource will also be on hand to offer Employment strategies to those who need assistance. The classes will be every first Wednesday of the month. And remember, these are free! If you need assistance with transportation, please do not hesitate to call Kelly at the Community Center-360-795-7870.

Need a New Read? A Free Book Exchange is planned for the week of June 12th through June 17th. Bring in any of your used books and exchange them for free for new reads. You are welcome to start dropping off your used books now to the Community Center. We will begin the Exchange on Monday at 9:00 am and run through Saturday 1:00-4:00 pm. Find what peaks your interest! There will be many titles to choose from with a selection for all age groups. Even if you do not have any books to bring, it’s okay, come on in and grab a summer read! As usual, we always have coffee, tea, water and refreshments available. Please contact Jonnie Knowles at 360-795-3946 or Kelly Patterson at 360-795-7870 with any questions.

July will be plenty busy here as well. Everyone is gearing up for the spectacular Bald Eagle Days July 14th and 15th. Later in the month, we will be having a Community Robotics Presentation on July 26th and a Free Family Bingo Night on July 29th; details to follow. Happy Summer, Wahkiakum County!
