This year’s annual Naselle School Spring Concert will include students from Kindergarten through High School and will be held on Monday at 6 p.m.
Bring your whole family for a delightful evening of music. The students who are participating in the program have spent many hours fine tuning their individual and collective talents to bring this program to the community. Many thanks to each of the participants and to their teachers as well.
On Tuesday, students who have excelled in individual areas of their education will be recognized during the Evening Of Excellence beginning at 7 p.m. in the Naselle Commons.
Each student receiving recognition on this night has truly done a great job throughout the year and much deserves to be singled out for their accomplishments. It is also very heartwarming for friends and family to share in this certification. I know first hand, even if it was quite a few years ago.

The West End Food Pantry was the recipient of much needed contributions from last Saturday’s 2017 “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive. To everyone who donated the many items, a huge thank you. If you missed the food drive and would like to donate, the collection boxes will remain in the Naselle and Rosburg/Grays River post offices until the end of this week.
Obviously many folks in our area plant their own gardens, unlike me. I can’t make anything grow. If I planted a weed, it would probably die. That said, there are choices for us “non green thumbs.” You can get certified organic produced fruits and veggies every week by checking out http://www.glorybfarmscsa.com. This is a great way to shop local, eat healthy, and not have to drive far from home to shop. The farm is in Grays River and belongs to the Zimmerman family. Great prices too. Check it out.
Heads up, get those veins pumped up and head to the Valley Bible Church on June 14, 12:30-6 p.m. The church is located at 4723 SR 4 West in Rosburg. Make your appointments now.
The Rosburg Wednesday Senior Lunch Bunch meets each week in the Rosburg Hall for a yummy meal that is prepared and served by Pat Potter and her volunteer crew. Come join in the fun and food.
On Thursdays a senior meal is also served at the above location and is sponsored by CAP. Lunch is served at noon on both days.
