Grays River Valley Center has had a very busy couple of months.

In April, Commisioneer Mike Backman asked us for one month to keep as best we could a tally, of people using the facility. So we put up sign up sheets in every room, that is used by the public. It was truly exciting at the end of the month, when I started adding up the sign in sheets, for Grays River Valley Community Center. The Gym, Exercise Room, and Activity Room had sign in sheets, but we were not able to monitor as closely as the other rooms. Some signed the sheets and some did not, as those rooms are not monitored 24/7, so the honor system of signing in began. The Grays River Valley Board is excited to report that 507 people came and used the facility in the month of April. Shonda Ware reported that 176 people used the Food Bank for a total of 683 people. A very warm thank you to all, in supporting the community Center.

Then on May 5th we had our Cinco De Mayo dinner, which had a very good attendance. Thank you to all who came and enjoyed the dinner. I usually take pictures, but for some reason this was the first event, that escaped my picture taking. A great night was enjoyed by all. On May 6th, a group of kids from the New Heights Church, there were 12 kids and 4 adults

working at the center, along with some students from the Naselle High School needing their community hours.

These kids were totally awesome they made short work out of what would have taken the board several weeks. We put on a hot lunch for them, and shortly after lunch every thing was done.

The Bus Barn and the Stage and gym were cleaned and organized. Look at the pictures
