****EXCITING NEWS****
We are pleased to announce that beginning May 1 the Community Center will remain open until 5:00 pm. on Mondays. Thanks to one of our valued volunteers, we will be able provide services on the day that the Public Library is not open, ensuring our folks and visitors computer and Wi-Fi access the entire day. We will continue to work on increasing our hours of operation. Thank you all for your support!
Tuesday, May 16, SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) will be at the Community Center from 1:00-2:00 p.m., to provide information and assistance with your Medicare and health insurance plans. This is a wonderful opportunity to ask some questions and get some advice regarding your coverage. At that time, they will schedule private appointments here in Cathlamet to review your specific plans. What an excellent resource for our community members!
Our Volunteer Fair was a huge success! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participants and everyone that came to learn about the different volunteer opportunities in our area. Thank you Wahkiakum County residents! We truly have a wonderful community that strives to work together.
Keep checking the calendar as we have quite a few events that have yet to be announced (TBA). We are working on a Walking Tour, a regular monthly computer and WorkSource class, end of the school year field trip, bingo, and a book exchange. Please keep the ideas and suggestions coming in and thank you for your continued support!
