"I have more care to stay than will to go," said Romeo to his young bride, Juliet. For the third year in a row, actors from the Seattle Shakespeare Company arrived in Cathlamet to perform an abridged version of a Shakespeare play for Wahkiakum High School students. This year they chose Romeo and Juliet. The day before the production, the company discussed the play with students and workshopped stage-fighting and dancing. Here, Romeo and Juliet share a few loving moments in Act III, Scene 5 of the tragedy.

Friar Laurence tells Romeo he has been banished. "'Tis torture, and not mercy: heaven is here, where Juliet lives; and every cat and dog and little mouse, every unworthy thing, live here in heaven and may look on her; but Romeo may not," Romeo replies.
