Home Care Aide training offered

The Care Careers Academy will offer a state approved Home Care Aide training program encompassing 75 hours of instruction. The course includes 50 hours of caregiver Core Basic online instruction that students can access at home, and live classes of Dementia, Mental Health and a hands-on skills building lab. The upcoming HCA Skills class will be held April 26, 27 and 28 from 5-9 p.m., at the Care Careers Academy.

Becoming a certified Home Care Aide/Caregiver allows graduates to work in long term care settings, such as retirement homes, adult family homes, and in-home care. Caregivers hold one of the top 10 positions for job growth in the nation due to the expanding senior population.
