Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Friends of Skamokawa at Redmen Hall will present a new exhibit on Mother's Day, Sunday May 14. ‘The Wonderful Women of Wahkiakum County' presents the craft work of four groups representative of the talented women in this county.
The groups are Skamokawa Grange Women's Activity Group, Seattle Children's Hospital - Puget Island Auxiliary, River City Strippers, and the Cathlamet Woman's Group. Besides their fine craft work these groups all contribute much of their work to charities they are involved with.
There will be more information about each of them available at the exhibit. There will be some of the craftswomen working at their crafts - spinning, weaving, beading and several others, so visitors can see their work come to life.
The exhibit will be open Sunday 12-4 p.m., and will run every weekend through Sunday, June 25. The Hall is located in Skamokawa at 1394 SR 4, and is open Thursday - Sunday 12-4 p.m. For further information call during open hours at 360-795-3007. Sweet treats will be served on opening day.
