Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Mules shot 208 while catching another dry afternoon and raised their intra-conference record to 9-1-1 with victories over Adna 237 and the three Willapa Harbor schools who shot a combined 257.
While it wasn't raining until we finished, Riverside Golf Course played extremely difficult. When you could find your embedded ball in the rough, it was like hitting out of spongecake. The greens were rolling about 13 on the Stimpmeter, which means they were lightning fast, but they were in magnificent shape.
Bryce Good was medalist in the 17-player event, with a 48. The Mules also wrapped up the next three places with Tyler St. Onge 50, Zach Johnston 54 and Isaac Moon 56 for second, third and fourth, respectively. Elijah Doiron shot 60; Heidi Bruntmeyer 68, and Joseph Savelio 69.
Next match is today (Thursday) versus the reigning state champs, Ilwaco Fishermen, at Surfside Golf Course at Ocean Park.
