Mule baseball team sweeps Vikes at OSU

The Wahkiakum Mules baseball team got to enjoy a little sunshine this weekend when they traveled to Corvallis to play a double header in Goss Stadium on the Oregon State University campus on Saturday. Their great experience got even sweeter when they beat Mossyrock twice, 5-0 and 10-0.

James Anderson took the mound for all seven innings of the first game and got the win. He struck out seven batters and allowed two hits and no runs.

Hank Ferguson went 1-3 at bat and drove in one run. Terris Record had an RBI.

Zach Brown pitched game two, striking out eight batters and allowing two hits and no runs for the win.

Luke Brown went 2-4 at bat. He hit a triple and drove in a run. Z. Brown hit a double and had an RBI. Terris Record, Ashden Niemeyer, Tristan Collupy and Casey Wilson contributed a run apiece.

The Mules host Kalama for a doubleheader in their home game of the season today (Thursday). Depending on final league standings, the Mules could host a playoff game on May 6.
