Ronald Whittle

Ronald Leroy Whittle, 47, of Seattle, died April 7, 2017. He was born June 12, 1969 in Spokane to Wesley and Margaret (Clark) Whittle.

He came to Cathlamet at age nine and graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1987. He worked in the timber industry, enjoyed bowling and was very proud of his native heritage, being a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe.

Survivors include his wife Gail; sons Ronnie Whittle and Justin Lewis; daughters Jennifer Whittle and Katie Whittle; brother Robert Whittle; sisters Onya Remer and Adele Whittle; four grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 21, 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Skamokawa with the Reverand Beryl Curtis officiating. Burial will take place at Fernhill Cemetery in Skamokawa. Dowling Funeral Home in Cathlamet. Dowlings is in charge of arrangements.
