Jaime Herrera Beutler to host telephone town hall tonight

Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler will host a live telephone town hall on April 13 from 6-7:30 p.m. All residents of Southwest Washington’s third congressional district are invited to join Jaime for a conversation about health care, taxes, the economy and whatever else is on their mind.

“Telephone town halls are a great way for folks from rural farm land and urban centers to all join me for a live, back-and-forth conversation from the convenience of their kitchen tables,” said Jaime. “I look forward to updating residents on my efforts to improve health care, create jobs, improve education and solve problems back in Congress, and take questions and ideas on any issues that matter to them.”

“I’ve held nearly 70 town halls, public hearings, community coffee meetings and telephone town halls all across Southwest Washington – and I’ll continue to utilize every method there is that fosters productive, civil dialogue with residents from all political viewpoints,” Jaime continued. “There is a lot of interest in what’s happening in Washington, D.C. right now, and there’s no way to communicate live with as many people at once as a telephone town hall.”

Southwest Washington residents can sign up to receive a call to join the telephone town hall by contacting Jaime’s Vancouver office to be placed on this list by calling (360) 695-6292.

Residents can also call in to join the telephone town hall at any point during the event by calling 1-877-229-8493 and using the passcode 116365.

During the live telephone town hall, Jaime will be giving a brief update about her work in Congress, and then taking questions from participants.
