Free tire amnesty event on May 6

On Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m.– 12 p.m., the Cowlitz County Landfill, at 85 Frontage Rd., Longview, will be accepting tires for free disposal from Cowlitz County residents. The following is required: Valid ID showing a Cowlitz County address; no commercial sources; tires may be on rims; large truck, heavy equipment, or farm equipment tires will not be accepted. Persons must be prepared to unload their own tires.
