Wahkiakum High School senior Peyton Souvenir, left, has been named the Associated Press 2B Player of the Year. According to her coach, Rob Garrett, there are no higher honors for high school basketball players than this one from AP Washington and the other 2B Player of the Year award Souvenir received on March 18 from the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association. "Simply put, she's earned everything she's got this year," Garrett said. "I couldn't be more proud of her, and we are thankful for everything she's done for our program." Souvenir scored 654 points this season, averaging 23.36 points per game. She also averaged 10.54 rebounds per game and finished the season with 200 assists and 149 steals. Photo by Diana Zimmerman.
