Margaret Anne “Peggy” Pedersen 81, of Cathlamet, died at her home on March 10, 2017. She was born in Wessington Springs, S. Dakota on July 25, 1945 to Robert and Dorothy (Drew) Austin.
She graduated from Winlock High School in 1953 and Married Ralph Pedersen on April 9, 1954. On November 22, 2016 Ralph preceded Peggy in death. They made their home in Cathlamet.
Peggy was a loving mom and enjoyed sewing, cooking and canning and caring for her family in addition to fishing in Prince William Sound and Cooks Inlet, Alaska with Ralph. She enjoyed that time from 1980-1996 when they retired from fishing.
Peggy is survived by her sons, Tim Pedersen and wife Margie and Mark Pedersen and wife Rhonda, two brothers Roger Reed (Joanne) and Brian Reed (Mitzi) and a sister Judy Short (Chuck), eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Sean, Gabriel, Adam and Jonas Pedersen, Max Scudder, Kirsten and Jennifer Brown and four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded by her sister Janice.
A private family graveside service will be held. Those who wish may donate in Peggy’s name to Cathlamet First Aid Division, 375 2nd St., Cathlamet, WA 98612. Dowling Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
