Students will resume classes on Tuesday following their winter Christmas break. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.
The sports calendar for the Naselle Comet teams this week includes: Tuesday, high school boys and girls basketball with North River in Naselle at 5 p.m .; Wednesday, high school boys and girls basketball with Willapa Valley in Naselle at 4 p.m. Go Comets!

The next blood drive at the Valley Bible Church will be held on January 6 from noon to 6 p.m. in the church social hall. I have my appointment already. For more information or to make an appointment please contact Susan Burkhalter or the Red Cross.
Make sure you get your tickets soon for the annual Crab and Oyster Feed, sponsored by the American Legion Deep River Post #111, and remember, only 200 tickets will be sold with a price of $28 per person. This evening is one to remember not only for the food but for the fun.
The menu includes crab, oysters, baked beans, garlic bread, cole slaw and potato salad. Following dinner a huge raffle with the grand prize being a gun. Then you can relax and enjoy the rest of the evening listening to the music or a dance or two.

The Grays River Cafe is now open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are in the neighborhood, stop in and enjoy some good company and delicious food.
The Wednesday Senior Lunch Bunch meets each week in the Rosburg Hall for a home cooked meal prepared and served by Pat Potter and her volunteer crew.
On Thursdays, a senior lunch is also served in the Rosburg Hall and is sponsored by CAP. Meals are served at noon on both days.
