Ferry shut down, repaired

The ferry Oscar B. had a Christmas vacation: A starter motor failed, the vessel went out of service on Christmas Day. A new motor was installed, and service resumed Monday morning, said Wahkiakum County Public Works Director Chuck Beyer.
