Westend news:

The Grays River Grange #124 will celebrate Christmas with their annual, old fashioned, traditional Christmas Party. It will take place on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Bring a dish to share for the evening's potluck dinner followed by some old fashioned caroling, a gift exchange, a raffle drawing (you can purchase raffle tickets at the party), a special recognition of Years of Grange membership, and the annual reading of The Night Before Christmas by Robert Pyle of Grays River.

Santa has also made plans to attend the party, and to hand out gifts to the children attending, and will probably have a candy cane or two to distribute before heading back to the North Pole to finish up his yearly duties.

Please bring a gift with your child’s name on it for Santa to deliver if they are in the audience. If you are participating in the adult gift exchange, please mark the package for a male or female and the price of the gift should not be more than $5.

Since it is the season of giving, please bring a non perishable food item or two to share with the local food banks. Everyone is welcome to attend this family friendly event and you do not need to be a Grange member to attend.

For questions, call Grays River Grange at 465-2268 or email: grange@wwest.net.

Cash is also an option to help defray some of the costs.
