The Astor Street Opry Company has announced its 10th annual holiday production of “Scrooged in Astoria,” beginning December 2.
Stylized as a 1960’s holiday TV special, this show is loosely based on the “Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, but with characters straight out of the ASOC long running summer melodrama “Shanghaied in Astoria.” This show also has singing commercials written by ChrisLynn Taylor.
Performance dates are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., December 2-18. There will be two matinees, December 11 and 18 at 2 p.m. The house opens 30 minutes before each performance.
