Sports calendar for the Naselle Comet teams this week: Friday, high school football - state playoff game at Lummi High School with kickoff time 7 p.m. Go for it, boys. Monday, middle school girls basketball at South Bend at 5:45 p.m .; Tuesday, middle school girls basketball with Ocosta in Naselle at 5:45 p.m. Go Comets!
This week will mark the third Annual Northwest Basketball/ Lyle Patterson Memorial Basketball Camp on November 17, 18 and 19. The camp is open to both boys and girls in third through eighth grade and is broken into two groups: third through fifth grade and six through eighth grade. Times are Thursday and Friday (17th and 18th) 12:30-4 p.m. and Saturday (19th) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Such an ongoing tribute to a legend from Naselle, Lyle Patterson.
Looking for a nice evening of entertainment? The Naselle Drama Club is ready to provide that for you. Please join these talented folks on Friday, the 18th at 7 p.m. for their rendition of “Hello Shakespeare.”

If you are a participant in the West End Food Pantry’s “Fill a Feedbag” program to provide for families needing a little extra this holiday season, you need to return your Thanksgiving bag by today (Thursday). The Food Pantry is open from 1-5 p.m. If you need to have someone pick up your donation, please call 465-2312.
If you prefer to provide a bag for Christmas instead, please return by December 15.
The Westend Food Pantry is located in the Grays River Valley Center at Johnson Park.
The free Saturday night movie this week is about the legendary jungle hero who is called back to the jungle to investigate the activities of a mining encampment. The 2016 release is rated PG-13. The show starts at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Grays River Valley Center at Johnson Park.
Concessions are also available before the movie and during the intermission.
Get your advance tickets for the annual Crab and Oyster Feed, sponsored by the American Legion Deep River Post #111, which will be held on January 28. Remember, only 200 tickets will be sold and the price is $28 per person.
The doors open for happy hour at 6 p.m. followed by the dinner, the raffle drawings and then the dance. This is the best of the best evenings in the area. Get your tickets early by calling Ken Elliott at 465-2274, Nick Nikkila at 465-2595 or Dale Rose at 465-2234.
The Rosburg Wednesday Senior Lunch Bunch meets every week in the Rosburg Hall for a home cooked meal that is prepared and served by Pat Potter and her volunteer crew. Lunch is served at noon.
