St. James Christmas bazaar is set for November 19

“A Country Christmas,” St. James’ annual Christmas Bazaar, will be held Saturday, November 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A wide array of handcrafted items will be available for purchase including jewelry, paintings, cards, ceramic tiles, coasters, aluminum picture hangings, photography, walking sticks, baskets, journals, soaps, CDs of original music, ornaments, cookbooks, etc.

A bake sale with Scandinavian and holiday goodies will tempt taste buds. The kitchen will be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., serving Shannon's clam chowder, salad, nachos, chili, hot dogs, chili dogs, desserts, hot cider and coffee.

The Children’s Christmas Store will be open to children under 12 only; parents not allowed. Volunteers will help kids select and wrap gifts for their family members. Nothing is priced over $1.

Adding to the festive spirit will be live music by Fred Carter from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Kathleen Petersen from 1-4 p.m. The raffle drawing for three beautiful gift baskets (baking, barbecue and toys 'n' games) will take place at 3:30 p.m. It is not necessary to be present to win.

The event takes place at 1134 Columbia Street in Cathlamet. Proceeds go to St. James Family Center’s programs for children and families.
