Donald B. Twiet

Donald Bruce Twiet was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota on July 19, 1936, he died on October 29, 2016 at home on Puget Island.

He retired after serving 20 years in the United States Marine Corps; including three tours in Viet Nam.

Don owned a custom cabinet shop in Burns, Oregon; did construction in Nevada and came to Wahkiakum County in 1988 to do construction here. He built cabinets in his shop on Puget Island and after retiring a second time, made custom rifle stocks and pistol grips as a hobby.

He is survived at home by his wife Lore; also sons Dan (Micki) Colorado, Jeff (Julie) Tacoma, Butch (Debbie) Minnesota; stepson Nick Hammond (Julie) Skamokawa, Stepdaughter Kelly Hammond (Dan) Chehalis; six granddaughters,one grandson and seven great grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his father Dan and mother Ellen.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
