N/GRV School Board Meeting Notes

The Naselle-Grays River Valley School District Board of Directors met for its monthly meeting on Tuesday.

A contract for construction of a road approach off Highway 4 was awarded to Lindstrom Construction. WSSDA policies 5211, Transfers of Staff ,and 5221, Part-time Staff, were deleted. The board conducted a first reading of the following WSSDA Policies: 4218, Language Access; 4210, Dangerous Weapons; 5001, Hiring Retired School Employees; 6882, Sale of Real Property; 5610, Substitute Employment, and 3410, Student Health.

Architect Erik Fagerland was present to provide the board with the latest updates on the covered play area/multi-purpose building. Construction is projected to start in mid-December/early January.

Superintendent Nelson reported that enrollment is up about 20 students from budgeted projections.

The next regularly scheduled board meeting is November 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Commons.
