Pacific County Preparedness Fair set for October 22

The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency will host an Emergency Preparedness Fair on Saturday, October 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fair will take place in the Koplitz Fieldhouse at South Bend High School. There will be exhibits, demonstrations, and games designed to educate the community on how to prepare for and to survive during and following a disaster.

In addition to exhibits, educational talks, and demonstrations, police cars, fire engines, ambulances and the Pacific County mobile command vehicle will be on display outside the Fieldhouse. There will be an opportunity to learn how to make a plan to prepare your family for a disaster along with opportunities to sign up for CERT training, practice your skills with a fire extinguisher and win some great prizes.

Preparedness and planning are two of the most important components in surviving any disaster. For more information contact PCEMA Deputy Director Scott McDougall at smcdougall@co.pacific.wa.us or by calling (360) 642-9338 or 875-9338.
