Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Skyline Men's club ended their season on Saturday, playing the Club Championship on freshly cut greens and some diabolical pin placements which made the course play extremely difficult. Those new green and apron mowers had the greens putting very fast and presented a look and feel the players were not used to.
The gross division finished with Tri-Club Champions. Tying for first place were Nick Vavoudis, Shannon Moore and defending champion Dave McNally who all shot 80. Second place went to Randy Coleman 81, 3. Dan Doumit 84, 4. Randy Rodahl 88, 5. Paul Meyers 93, 6. Roy LaBerge 94 , and 7. Steve McNally 95.
In the net division, Vavoudis and Coleman are co-Champions, each shooting 66. Moore 68 finished third, Paul Meyer 70 finished fourth, tying for fifth with 73 were Steve McNally and Doumit, seventh Rodahl 76, and eighth LaBerge 79.
In the Callaway Handicap format, Coleman shot 69; tying for second with 72 were Vavoudis, Rodahl, and Dave McNally. Doumit 73 was fifth; tying for sixth were David Frude and LaBerge 74, eighth Paul Meyer 75 and ninth Steve McNally 76.
Golfers give special thanks to the course owners Randy Rodahl, Kim Herron and Robin Herron who maintain the course when they are not working their full time jobs, and also to volunteers Wayne Cochran, Shannon Moore and Randy Coleman, whose relentless efforts in mowing, watering, and equipment maintenance have provided a great venue for playing golf. Without their efforts the club and community would not have a golf course.
