The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team split games this week with a win against Toledo and a loss to Toutle Lake, bringing their league record to 3-1.
In Toledo on Tuesday, the Lady Mules won in three sets, 25-11, 25-14, and 25-15.
"We struggled a bit tonight with transition," Coach Kayli Hurley said, "but we're doing some good things overall."
Sydney Hansen had a great game offensively, according to Hurley.
RayAnna Carlon and Macie Elliott had five kills each and Amber Silva was 100 percent from the service line.
Last Thursday, the Lady Mules hosted Toutle Lake and lost the match in four sets, 21-25, 25-17, 17-25, and 16-25.
"This was a real opportunity to highlight where we need the most work as we move into the thick of league play in the next few weeks," Hurley said. "We played some stints of solid volleyball tonight, but really have to solidify our mental toughness.
Makenzie Anderson had seven kills. Peyton Souvenir had eight kills and 25 assists. Katie Johnson was 100 percent from the service line.
"Ellie Leitz and Macie Elliott came through with some great plays above the net," Hurley said. "My bench stayed super positive and their role in doing so is super important."
The team travels to Winlock tonight for a league match.
