Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Care Careers Academy is offering a state approved Home Care Aide training program. The Home Care Aide program is 75 hours and encompasses: CarePro Core Basics training (on-line), Diabetes, Mental Health and a hands-on HCA Skills training course. The on-line portion of this program is self-paced and can be accessed anywhere an internet connection is available. Diabetes, Mental Health and HCA Skills classes are available monthly and are available for CEU credits.
Becoming a HCA allows graduates to work in in-home senior/disabled care settings, such as retirement homes, adult family homes, and private homes. Becoming an HCA is an excellent way to enter the medical field. Home Care Aides hold one of the top 10 positions for job growth in the nation due to the increased aging population.
