Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Art in the Park will be held at the Hemlock Plaza at Lake Sacajawea on September 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Columbian Artists Association decided to take advantage of the cooler autumn temperatures and move the date for Art in the Park from August to September. This show will have the same great local artists and some new ones as well. There will be watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings offered. Professional photography, original designs in handcrafted jewelry, fused glass, and pine needle basket weaving are some of the art and fine crafts that will be featured at the show.
This is an opportunity to meet the artists, take a relaxing walk through the park and perhaps purchase an original or unique gift.
Enter the drawing for prizes donated by the artists: Original watercolor by Carol Boudreau, decorated gourd by Sue Kramer, hand crocheted designer scarf by Vicki Brigden, glassware by Irene Bacon, Swarovski crystal jewelry by Mary Fortner and a $50 gift certificate from the Broadway Gallery.
Art in the Park will coincide with the Cowlitz Tribal Health Walk held early on September 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. A 5k run/walk and health screenings will be featured.
