Make your own flower pots

On September 14 at 6 p.m., Cowlitz County Master Gardener Phyllis Collins will teach you how to make Hypertufa garden pots and planters. Hypertufa is the art of making lightweight cement pots. In this class you’ll mix the ingredients, cast a planter, get ideas, learn techniques, and gain the knowledge to make more forms at home. You’ll take home your projects.

The class cost is $20 per person. You must pre-register and pay by September 10. Class size is limited to 12. The class will be held in the Floral Building located on the Cowlitz County fairgrounds in Longview. The workshop is sponsored by Washington State University Extension Master Gardeners.
