The Naselle-Grays River Valley School District Board of Directors met for its monthly meeting on August 16 at the Grays River Fire Hall.
In personnel matters, Hanna Higginbotham was hired as JV Volleyball coach and the Board acknowledged the resignation of Istvan Matej, bus driver and groundskeeper.
A contract for school nursing services was approved with Pacific County as well as supplemental contracts with staff for the 2016-17 school year. The Board and Superintendent’s goals were adopted for the 2016-17 school year as well. Vacation allowances were also approved for the Superintendent’s contract.
Newly hired K-12 Principal, Quinn Donlon, was on hand and was formally introduced to the Board. Superintendent Nelson stated that Mr. Donlon has been busy meeting with parents and students, and getting to know the staff over the past few weeks. Mr. Donlon is a former graduate of Naselle High School.
The next regularly scheduled Board meeting is September 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Commons.
