What's happening at the Fair?

Wow! August is here. The fairgrounds will be getting busy over the next three weeks. If you would like to volunteer at the fairgrounds after two is a good time to catch me there.

First off this week I would like to congratulate the winners of the "Silver Buckle Series" so far.

June 25 winners: 19-35 Kaylee Paulson, 12-18 Shaya Breeze, 11 & under Jade Mahitka, and Novice Lexie.

July 23 winners: 36 & over Becky Ellis, 12-18 Shaya Breeze, 11 & under Jade Mahitka and Novice Lexie.

Congrulations to all the winners and hope to see them all at the final Silver Buckle August 20.

Next the fair royalty had a great time at the concert at the Cowlitz County Fair. Fun was had by all. This weekend on Saturday August 6, the royalty will be having a car wash at the Bank of Pacific from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. So come get your car washed and support the fair royalty. Also the girls will be selling fair passes so if you haven't bought yours this would be a great place to get one. Fair Passes are still only $6.00 that's for all three days.

Fair entries start coming in on August 15 so mark your calendars.

Along with all the entertainment scheduled the Model T's, the Train, Bouncy Houses, Kids Games and more will all be at the fair. Of course all the great food vendors will be back. So hope to see everyone at the fair.

One last thing: anyone interested in being a fair board member should come to the fair board meeting on August 10 at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds and let us know.
