Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
To The Eagle:
A recent article in your newspaper quoted one of our county commissioners as saying “Money from citations all goes to the state. There’s no county share.”
The above statement is in error. While District Court should not be looked at as a revenue producer, the county does in fact receive a share of revenue from traffic citations.
Anyone wishing a breakdown of citation fines should feel free to contact the Wahkiakum County District Court for further information.
William J. Faubion
