Can we do without politicians?

To The Eagle:

There are two types of taxpayers: authentic taxpayers and taxpayers. The authentic taxpayers are homeowners and employees that earn their wages by working for themselves or nongovernment businesses. Taxpayers are homeowners and employees that work for the government and they earn their wages by pocketing off the authentic taxpayers’ paychecks.

That said, I’m all for paying our military, veterans, law enforcements, firefighters, roads and education. However, I question the thousands of politicians living high off the authentic taxpayers’ paychecks by giving themselves a 6-figure salary plus benefits and allowances. What services are we getting in return that they feel they are worth that salary?

These greedy self-serving politicians know they need to eliminate many government agencies that waste taxpayers’ money; also they need to reduce their wages to the same wages as the veterans, law enforcement, firefighters; yet they won’t do it.

Sad that most politicians’ hearts are not in the right place, instead they’re full of corruption. Who needs them? I’m sure most of us can live honorably well and do without them.
