Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Now is the time to start prepping for the 2016 Bald Eagle Days Annual Community Parade. This year’s theme is “Where Tranquility Meets Adventure.” Get creative and celebrate both the tranquility and the many exciting adventures to be had in Wahkiakum County. Build a float, get a group together and walk, show off your trucks, tractors, boats, motorcycles, and more. Get that special car out, get it all shined up, and slow cruise the streets of Cathlamet in the parade. Walking entries may include pets, clowns, dancers, horses, etc.
Those interested in appearing in the 2016 Bald Eagle Days Parade may obtain an entry form in this week’s edition of The Wahkiakum County Eagle, download it from the chamber website at http://www.wahkiakumchamber.com or pick one up at Skamokawa Resort, Bank of the Pacific Cathlamet Branch, Cathlamet Pharmacy, Waterway Espresso or the Chamber office at 102 Main Street. Deadline for submitting entries is noon, July 14.
