Down River Dispatches

News from Naselle:

Tonight, Thursday evening in the Naselle Commons you can enjoy the Evening of Excellence where many deserving students will receive their awards and recognition for all their extra special efforts this year. The event marks the end of another school year and showcases the students that have shown extra effort during the past few months and years. The presentations start at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the Naselle-Grays River Valley class of 2016 will open the next chapter of their lives following their graduation from high school. They have completed all the requirements to move on into a future of their choosing, whether it be college, a job, or whatever. I would like to wish each and everyone of them, God Speed and good luck with whatever life holds in store for you. Make the most of the education, guidance and friendships you have encountered so far. Remember, you are the only one that can make your own life what you want it to be. Good Luck Class of 2016. You make the whole community proud.

Coming up this week for our first Free Saturday Night Movie is a fun movie for the whole family and is rated PG. The second episode of this story is about Dracula and his friends trying to bring out the monster in his half human, half vampire grandson in order to keep Mavis from leaving the hotel.

In addition to our normal fare in the concession stand, we now have nachos every week. This week we will also have hotdogs available, so bring the kids, feed them there and enjoy a great show. The movie starts at 7 p.m.

We will show a kid friendly movie on the first Saturday of each month. If you have a suggestion or a request for an appropriate movie, please contact me at 465-2960.
