Sheriff's Report, May 26, 2016

Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

May 16 — 9:14 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded when a Cathlamet resident fell down some stairs while carrying a baby in a portable car seat. 12:15 p.m. Deputies responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in Cathlamet. An individual was taken into custody. 2:40 p.m. A caller in the Skamokawa area reported that he was setting out traps after finding four dead sheep. 2:48 p.m. A caller reported that a runaway was believed to be staying at a Rosburg address. A deputy responded and the juvenile was taken into protective custody. 6:05 p.m. A caller reported an aggressive dog on Puget Island. A deputy spoke with the owner of the dog. 9:25 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that there was a lot of noise coming from a nearby apartment. He said it sounded like someone was being assaulted. A deputy investigated and determined that all was well and that the level of noise was acceptable for the hour.

May 17 — 11:58 a.m. A caller reported seeing a cow on a Puget Island road. 7:04 p.m. A caller reported that a Deep River resident was driving while intoxicated. 7:16 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported that a window in her truck had been broken and several items had been stolen from her vehicle. 7:21 p.m. A caller reported that an individual had broken a no contact order. 10:28 p.m. A Puget Island resident became concerned when she returned home and found lights on in her house. A deputy searched the residence and found it secure. 11:26 p.m. A Puget Island resident complained that a neighbor had come on to her property to provide water for her dog. The caller wanted the neighbor to stay off the property and was concerned that he was obsessive about her dog.

May 18 — 12:50 a.m. An alarm was activated at a Skamokawa address. 8:58 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance and the Cathlamet Fire Department aided an individual who may have had a stroke at a Skamokawa business. Life Flight was activated. 1:59 p.m. A caller reported that a student at a Cathlamet school had left at lunch time and did not return.

May 19 — 5 p.m. A caller complained about skateboarders using Cathlamet streets. 5:17 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident who had abdominal pain. 8:33 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported that his tap water was brown. A representative from the Town of Cathlamet was contacted.

May 20 — 1:58 p.m. Human remains were found on a beach in the Rosburg area. 4:52 p.m. A Rosedale resident was concerned about a vehicle parked outside her home. 4:55 p.m. A caller complained that she had almost been struck by a vehicle on a Cathlamet street. 11:02 p.m. A Cathlamet resident complained that a neighbor was making a lot of noise and disturbing the neighborhood.

May 21 — 10:22 a.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported that he had been the victim of a computer scam. 10:59 a.m. A Rosburg resident reported that he was missing three dogs. 11:46 a.m. A Deep River resident reported a burglary. 1:48 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported that six pot plants had been stolen, possibly by a member of the family. 3:57 p.m. A caller reported two dogs running loose in the Rosburg area. 6:01 p.m. An individual was taken into custody after a fight in the Rosedale area. 7:02 p.m. A caller reported two loose cows on a Puget Island road. 7:05 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident who was complaining of dizziness. 7:48 p.m. A caller was concerned about two goats that were loose in the Skamokawa area.

May 22 — 10:08 a.m. An alarm was activated at a Rosedale address. A deputy investigated and found everything secure. 2:34 p.m. A caller complained about a branch hanging over an Elochoman Valley roadway. 3:03 p.m. The Grays River ambulance aided a Grays River resident with high blood pressure. 11:58 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Puget Island resident with heart problems.
