The Naselle--Grays River Valley School District Board of Directors met for its monthly meeting on May17.
Several personnel moves were approved. These included the hiring of Youth Camp Principal, Gary Flood and middle/high school science teacher Sylvia Hoagland. Rob Dalton and Lamar Wirkkala resigned their coaching positions for middle school volleyball and junior varsity boys basketball respectively.
Superintendent Nelson provided an overview of policy 6700 "Wellness," that a committee had been working on for the last five months.
In other business, contracts for Youth Camp summer school teachers were approved as well as the Facilities’ Committee five--year master plan. Overnight trips and summer use of school facilities and transportation were also approved.
The 5th grade flute group played three songs and amazed the group with their musical abilities.
