Great White Tail run set for Saturday at Vista Park

The 32nd annual Great White Tail Run will be held Saturday, May 14. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., at Skamokawa Vista Park. The course for the 2 mile, 5K and 10K distance will take place on Brooks Slough Road and a portion of Steamboat Slough Road along the Julia Butler Hansen National Refuge. Recognition will be given for overall male and female winners in each event, with ribbons for the top three finishers in each age division.

Fees are $12 without a shirt, $25 with a shirt. Add $1 if you are bringing your dog and want to compete for an award in this division. Family or youth group discount: First two entries of immediate family or group, regular price, each additional entry is $3 off regular price.

Official dog rules: Socialized dogs only. Dogs should be at least 6-months old with current vaccinations. Dogs must be on leash at all times and stay on the designated course. Female dogs in season are not permitted.

This event is a fundraiser for the Wahkiakum County 4-H program and all proceeds will be used to benefit the county program. For further information call 360-465-2275 or 360-795-3278.
