Marcia Fauver

Marcia Elaine Fauver, 82, died on April 28, 2016 in Longview. Marcia was born on February 25, 1934 to H. Albert and Hulda (Tihila) Harrison in Rosburg. She was raised on a farm there with her brother, George Harrison and sister, Kathleen Haataja, who preceded her in death.

She attended school in Rosburg and Naselle before marrying Robert Fauver and moving to their farm in Deep River. They raised their four children there, where Marcia loved homemaking. She was a gifted cook, gardener, both flowers and vegetables, and created a wonderful farm life for her family. She was a talented pianist.

In later years she was a member of the Old time Fiddlers Association and even enjoyed having her own band for a time. Marcia is survived by her daughters, Carmelle Brownlie, Dianne Wirkkala and husband, Keith; her sons, Harland Fauver and wife, Connie and Craig Fauver; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at Seal River Cemetery in Rosburg on Friday May 6 at 2 p.m., with a luncheon to follow at Rosburg Hall. In lieu of flowers those wishing to may donate in Marcia’s name to Rosburg Community Club P.O. Box 123 Rosburg, WA 98643. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
