Fun run for dogs set for May 1 at Misty Rivers Plantation

Wahkiakum County Historical Society will hold a dog Fun Run on Sunday, May 1, at Misty Rivers Plantation, 117 Cross Dike Road on Puget Island. Dogs of all breeds and mixed breeds are invited to come experience the joy of running a lure across an open field. The field is secured by fencing and Grove Slough. The fee to run a dog once is $5.00, and for an additional $5, as many additional runs as you like can be run. Coursing will begin at 9:30 a.m., and dogs will be run on first come, first run basis. Coursing will continue until 2:30 p.m., or until all dogs on the signup sheet have run. All proceeds will go the Wahkiakum County Historical Society, which will support the local museum.
