Last Thursday, Wahkiakum High School held its only home track meet of the season. Teams from Adna, Onalaska and Pe Ell were in attendance.

The Mules took first in girls' competition with 122 points and placed third in boys' competition with 36 points. The scores are much a reflection of the number of boys and girls competing on the team. There are eight boys and more than twice as many girls competing for the Mules this season.

In boys competition, Jaiden Mahitka won the 100 meters with a time of 11.77. He also took sixth place in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:47.97.

Ryan Quigley improved in the high jump, adding eight inches from the last competition to finish in second place with 5-08. He took second in the triple jump with a leap of 32-05 and finished third in the long jump with 16-05.

Putter Thongkijlaohachai placed fourth in the 100m with a time of 12.44 and third in the 3200m with a time of 13:38.23.

Flavio Stucki placed sixth in the 100m with a time of 12.81 and fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:26.20.

Josiah Romines placed second in the 200m with a time of 26.06 and fourth in the discus with a throw of 73-06.

Sean Yu placed third in the shot put and discus with distances of 29-05 and 73-10, respectively.

Trevor Semo took sixth place in the discus with a toss of 72-04.

The 4 x 400m team of Quigley, Romines, Stucki and Mahitka took third place with a time of 4:19.08.

For the girls, Grace Peacock placed first in the 300m with a time of 28.44. She took third in the 100m with a time of 13.51.

Trinity Klecker took fourth in the 100m with a time of 14.26. She also took third in the 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles with times of 19.48 and 1:00.00 respectively.

Grayci Thomas took third in the 200m with a time of 31.03.

Tyra Elliott placed second in the 400m with a time of 1:11.93.

Ellie Leitz won the 800m with a time of 2:46.46. She also took second in the triple jump with 29-10.

Macie Elliott won the 1600 and improved her time from last week by five seconds, finishing in 5:59.50. She also took second in the discus with a throw of 81-03.

Rayanna Carlon won the 3200 with a time of 21:40.38. She also took fifth place in the shot put and the discus with a toss of 22-06.00 and 65-00 respectively.

Charlie Ashe placed second in the 100m hurdles and in the 300m hurdles with times of 19.37 and 57.51 respectively. She also tied for second place in the high jump with a leap of 4-08.

Destiny McGowan placed sixth in the 300m hurdles with a time of 1:03.72.

Tarah Wisner won the shot put with a toss of 29-06, a personal record. She also won the discuss with a throw of 82-11.

Mica Kincade took second in the discus with a toss of 24-06.

Rory Heywood took first in the triple jump with a leap of 30-03.5. She also tied with Ashe for second in the high jump, clearing 4-08 and finished third in the long jump with 13-04.75.

McKensi Fluckiger won the long jump with a leap of 13-09. She placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 28-02.25 and third in the javelin, throwing 70-08.

The 4 x 100 team of Cheyenne Barton, M. Elliott, T. Elliott and Peacock took first place with a time of 54.87. The team of Ashe, Klecker, Leitz and McGowan took second place with a time of 57.17.

The 4 x 200 team of Barton, T. Elliott, R. Heywood and Peacock took first place with a time of 1:56.24. The team of Katharine Choi, Mia Li, McGowan and Thomas placed third with a time of 2:14.48.

The 4 x 400 team of Barton, M. Elliott, T. Elliott and Leitz won with a time of 4:48.13. Choi, Li, McKinnah Nielsen and Thomas placed third with a time of 5:49.31.

The Mules' next meet is in Napavine on April 14.
