Lieutenant Colonel Robert Scott Neilson, age 76, passed away suddenly on Feb. 13, 2016. He was born Feb. 15, 1939 to Dave and Laverne Neilson.
He is survived by his loving wife Hope, daughter Tracy Weber (husband Brian), son Scott Neilson (wife Dana), son Chris Neilson (wife Tami) and grandchildren Jacob, Reegan, Abby, Cooper and Taylor and sisters Sandra (Neilson) Quick, Rebecca (Neilson) Doxtater and Jennifer Neilson.
Bob loved to travel and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time hiking and skiing. He was always ready to hike at Mt. Rainier with his family and loved his daily walks along the Orting trail. He cherished his family and his most treasured times were spent at family gatherings, vacations and grandchildren's sporting events.
In the presence of his loving family, Bob Neilson was laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery with full military honors.
