Team heads to Adna Monday for 3-team match
The Wahkiakum Mules golf team's season record dropped last week to 3-4 after posting a four-person total 229 to Ilwaco's 191 and North Beach's 224.
The day started and ended in heavy rain and wind; however the majority of the round was sunny and fair. Unfortunately the young Mules showed their inexperience as Surfside Golf Course turned out to be a major challenge for all of them. Only Bryce Good had been there once before, and he led the Mules with a 53. Eighth grader Tyler St. Onge shot 54 , junior Sarah Shi 58, eighth grader Gage Horman 64 and freshman Zach Johnston shot 66. Ilawco's Blake Kukula medaled with a 38.
The Mules next match is Monday, March 28th at Adna with the Willapa Harbor schools there as well.
