Irish bands raising funds for Pioneer Community Center

Hang on to Yer Kilts! There’s a party brewing at the RiverMile 38 Brewery in the Elochoman Marina this Saturday from 4-10 p.m. and everyone is invited.

Three bands from Portland, The Stomptowners, Castletown and The Chancers will play at the Irish Music Fest and Fundraiser. They will tempt toes to tap and invite party goers to dance to lively Irish tunes.

Wear kilts if you got ‘em.

There is a suggested $5 cover charge for the event. There will be food from Duffy’s Irish Bar in Grays River for $10 more.

The event is sponsored by the Pioneer Community Association, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to arts and culture. The PCA owns and maintains the historic Pioneer Center in Cathlamet. The building is currently closed to the public because the fire suppression system is not up to code. This event is part of the PCA’s campaign to raise funds to complete the update and open the Pioneer Center’s doors.
