South Bend attorney is candidate for judge

To The Eagle:

I would like to take this opportunity to let the people of Pacific and Wahkiakum counties know that I will be a candidate for the position of superior court judge in the upcoming election.

I have spent many years preparing to serve the community as judge. I have taken every opportunity available to gain experience and develop the skills necessary to be the best judge possible. To that end I have been the judge for the Cities of Raymond, South Bend, Long Beach and Ilwaco. I have also been judge pro tempore in the Pacific County District Courts, Pacific County Superior Court Commissioner and Hearings Examiner for Pacific County. I have attended the Washington Judicial College twice.

I have deep roots in the local area. I am the fourth generation of my family to live in Pacific County. However, I also lived several years in Seattle and in the Portland area. I relate to both those who have their roots deep in Southwest Washington, but also those who have relocated here from elsewhere.

As demonstrated by my years as judge, judge pro tempore, superior court commissioner and hearings examiner, I will be a judge who is consistent and predictable. I will be tough, but compassionate. I will be open minded, willing and able to consider each party's position and evidence. However, once a decision is reached, I will stand firmly behind that decision.

It would be an honor and privilege to serve the people of Wahkiakum and Pacific Counties as their next superior court judge. I hope that you, the voters, will give me that opportunity.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at your convenience by telephone at (360) 208-4908 or by email at electturnerjudge@reachone.com.
