Three hurt in accident

Three people sustained injuries in a one-car traffic accident at 6:10 a.m. last Saturday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Brian S. Montgomery, 22, of Cathlamet, was driving westbound on SR 4 at mile post 41 east of Cathlamet when the vehicle, a 1994 GMC pickup, crossed the eastbound lane, left the roadway and came to rest against a tree on an embankment.

Montgomery and two passengers, Kaylee Carricker, 18, Cathlamet, and Joseph J. Montgomery, Longview, sustained injuries and were taken by ambulance to St. John Hospital in Longview for treatment.

Cause of the accident is under investigation.
